    Principle 1: Find Your Edge

    25 mins

Sian takes the yin practice back to the basics. She invites you to practice one of the fundamental principles of yin, which is listening to your body, finding your personal edge, and accepting your body where it is in this moment.

  • Principle 2: Stillness

    30 mins

For when you're feeling a little overwhelmed from life and need to pull back, rest and drop into stillness. This principle brings your still inner centre to the forefront. Take some time to rest in the quiet of your still self.

  • Principle 3: Longer Holds

    30 mins

A practice that is great for when you are feeling burnt out, really busy, and simply overwhelmed. We will be working with one of the fundamental principles of yin yoga, which is about holding the posture for some time.

  • Principle 4: Stress vs Stretch

    30 mins

Embrace the transformative power of stillness and explore the key principle of Stress vs. Stretch. Explore and surrender to each shape, honour your body's limits, and invite a sense of ease.

  • Principle 5: Deep Tissue Activation

    30 mins

In this principle, we deepen our knowledge on the Deep Tissue- connective tissue in your body. In this practice, you will learn how yin is designed to target the fascia, ligaments, and joints, in turn, allowing you to access layers of tension that often go unnoticed.

  • Principle 6: Managing Discomfort

    30 mins

In this principle, we learn to find peace in our bodies as we play with our edges. Much of the benefit of the practice will come from staying in this zone of discomfort, despite the mind’s urgent plea to leave, and from learning to find peace within ourselves.

  • Principle 7: Intention

    30 mins

In this principle we explore how having a focused intention can allow us to go deeper into our yin poses, focus our mind and minimize distraction. As we become still in the postures the mind can wander- our intention can provide a space of focus to keep us connected to our practice.

  • Principle 8: Transitions

    30 mins

We focus in this principle our attention on the space between the yin postures - our rebounds. We not only need these moments to rest the deep tissues of the body, but to give ourselves the time and attention to experience how the yin postures have made us feel - physically, emotionally and energetically.

  • Principle 9: The Energy of Yin

    30 mins

In this principle, we learn the difference between Yin and Yang energy and that there are yin postures which contain both. You will be invited in this practice to surrender into postures that can create a lot of sensation in the target areas which explore Yang energy. You will also experience full release and softening with postures that embody complete Yin energy.

  • Principle 10: The Art of Relaxation

    30 mins

In this principle, we explore the art of relaxation using soft, flowing forms and taking slow, deep breaths. This practice will inspire you to release tension and embrace the current moment. By nurturing a deep sense of self-compassion, this class provides a safe space for your thoughts and emotions, enabling you to let go and uncover the profound happiness that comes from genuine relaxation..

  • Principle 11: Meridians & The Subtle Body

    30 mins

Explore the ancient meridian system through postures in the 'Meridian and The Subtle Body' principle. If you want to delve deeper, consider the program 'Medicinal Yin for Spirit'. In Yin yoga, we explore the subtle body based on Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine, highlighting how the energy system affects our physical well-being. Chi, the fundamental life energy, is at the core of this practice, and the meridians serve as pathways to influence it’s flow and growth within ourselves.

  • Principle 12: All Principles

    30 mins

This principle essentially weaves together all the principles, employing mindfulness techniques to promote tranquility, restore the body, and soothe our emotions and thoughts. By directing our awareness to this region, we aim to establish a sense of balance and well-being throughout our entire system. The core essence of this practice lies in achieving inner harmony, which, in turn, leaves us feeling more at ease and revitalized.
