Kidneys & Womb Chi

Yin with Sian
35 min · fertility - feminine - taoist

Yin Yoga draws upon the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, so the language around this style of yoga often works with Qi (chi), meridian lines (energy lines) and organs. In this series of practices we focus on the organs and their related energy lines and use the practice to create balance and healing through massage, healing sounds and postures.

The kidney organ is connected to the bladder and also the genitals, so for women the entire yoni space including the womb. The kidney is the source of our vital life force, our chi. When we work too much or forget to rest, we become depleted in the kidneys, which can lead to chronic exhaustion, fertility issues, greying hair and fear. In balance we feel juicy, alive and filled with vast reserves of energy.
