Day 5

Durga Maa- The Call to Action

We have two ways to take action in our lives: internally or externally. We take action internally by showing up for ourselves on the mat to nurture our spiritual growth. We never skip our daily sadhana, we are always self reflecting, we partake in Satsang and we are continually learning. We take action externally in the world by following our dharmic path, taking compassionate action and using our voice to stand up for what we believe in. This is the path of Tantra Yoga; we are fiercely present in the world and on the physical plane, embracing life and all the messiness to fuel our spiritual growth and creative positive change.

How to move through Day 5

  • Begin your day doing the Mantra & Yin Practice.

  • Do the 30 minute Daily Practice of Mantra and Meditation.

  • Take 5-10 minutes to journal, find the journalling prompts under the Daily Practice.

Additional practices

  • Create a sadhana, daily spiritual practice, to commit to for the next 4 weeks.

  • Write a list of the things you wish to achieve in the next day/ week/ month/ year.

  • Take action on at least one of them.

Mantra & Yin

Recorded live practice - 45 mins

Inner and outter action- Durga Maa asks us to commit to both.. She asks us to reflect  honestly and authentically on our lives; our choices, actions, relationships. She drives us to acknowledge our inner demons, self-sabotage and negative patterns with compassion and calls us to swiftly take action and create change.

“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.” - Nora Ephron

Moving from action to stillness. In this final day of Invoke the Goddess, Sian leads a mantra, yin and meditation practice to continue to build the energy of Durga within you.

This may inspire us to step out of inertia and take back control of our lives or maybe to step out of victim mentality. It could also be to stop the harmful treatment of our bodies with food or substances, or the denial of an unhealthy relationship. Durga Maa may gently call to us to take action with a little nudge, giving you that “gut feeling”. If we don’t respond, Durga can present herself strongly and urgently, like a fiercely loving and protective mother, pushing us to make the changes required.
